"Helping them reach their own people"
Update on Bible Seminary:
Now that we have purchased the land and have
built our own church building in Cieneguilla
(this is a metal building given to us by a
Christian brother in the states) we are one
step closer to building the Seminary as
well. Once we have the funds, we plan to
begin building right away. Please continue
to pray with us that we can begin building
these facilities soon.
University and School Ministries
- We praise the lord that the doors have
been opened for us to enter several Schools
and a University to share the word of God.
Update on University and School Ministries:
We have been in several public schools over
the years and have seen hundreds come to
Christ, and even more presented with the
true plan of Salvation. With hosting groups
and all the other ministries we have going
on we haven’t had much time to focus on the
Universities. There is an overwhelming
amount of Universities here in Lima alone
and we continue to pray for more laborers
and more opportunities to enter with the
Gospel.
New
Life Children’s Home
As we celebrate our second year anniversary
of having children in the NLCH we are amazed
at what the Lord has allowed us to see and
be a part of in such a short amount of time.
We have seen both young and elderly
sacrifice of their time and resources to
come here and work to help give hope to
these children. We have seen children
brought from the worst of circumstances to a
Home where they are loved and taught that
they are special to God their creator. We
have seen several come to trust the Lord as
their personal Savior and commit their lives
to serving Him. We have seen children that
once were abandoned on the streets, in
parks, or in the trash, adopted and now have
a family to love them and teach them God’s
Word. We’ve seen God continue to bless day
after day and meet every need that we’ve had
to continue this ministry that belongs to
Him!
We are scheduling our furlough for the end
of August 2007 so that we can visit and
report to our supporting churches and also
raise the needed support for the Children’s
Home. Would you please pray with us that our
monthly support would increase to meet the
budget that we have now, and even be able to
take in more children once our new dorm is
complete.
Our goal is not only to give them rest for
their bodies,
but rest for their souls;
not only peace in their lives,
but peace in their hearts;
not only food in their stomachs,
but food for their souls;
not only hope now,
but hope for eternity;
not only a home here, but a home in heaven.

We have purchased more land adjacent to our
property and need to begin building soon. If
you would like to contribute to this project
by either coming to build, giving
financially, or in some other way, please
feel free to contact us at (678)792-2319
Thank you for your prayers and for your
support for NLCH.
A Soup Kitchen
For years now Chelene has had a desire in
her heart to start a soup kitchen--a mission
where those
without anything to eat can come and we will
supply them with bread and a bowl of soup.
Each one
will hear the gospel of Jesus Christ.
If you feel the Lord would have you to help with either of
these ministries please send
your support or donations to our support
address (CMC) c/o the Kennedy Family.
All donations and support given for these
ministries will solely be used for
these ministries alone. If you would like
more information, please write us at
kennedys@perumissions.com God Bless!
Special Prayer Requests:
As Missionaries we realize
that there are many great ministries out
there where you can give to. We also realize
that many of you are already doing all that
you can to help us or others in the
ministry. Thank you for all that you do!
Please pray with us concerning these needs.
We desperately need
another car. Although we know several taxi
drivers here it is not very safe for Chelene
and our children to take a taxi and they
often have to. We also have to put so much
money into taxis each month.
We are also praying for a
small bus/van just for the Children’s Home.
Praise the Lord the New
Life Children’s Home is growing and reaching
more children. This means that we need
monthly support for this ministry to meet
the budget and so we can take in more
abandoned children.
School started back the
second week of March. We need $2,300.00 to
cover the books, matriculation, backpacks,
school supplies, etc. for the twelve
children that attend school from NLCH.
There are several unspoken
prayer requests that we have and projects
that we would like to complete. We are
asking for God’s wisdom!
We ask for your prayers as
we make plans for our furlough to the states
at the end of August. It is very expensive
for a family of seven, and we will also need
a van to use while we are there. We will
update you as we go along and share with you
as the Lord answers your prayers!
Dear friends of ours, Keith and Kim Collins,
are now serving as Missionaries here in
Lima, Peru. Please pray for this family as
they learn the Spanish language, the
culture, and begin their ministry here in
Peru.
Bro. Rick
Cortis takes care of our web site…what an
answer to prayer! Please pray for his
health as he is recovering from a fall.

Church Updates:
After several years of praying for funds,
many people sacrificially giving, and having
to get an enormous amount of legal paperwork
done, we finally purchased the land for
New Life Baptist Church in
Ceineguilla.
We leveled the land and put the
cement foundation for our new church
building. This land cost us just over
$30,000.00 but, the building was given to us
by a Christian brother in the states. We had
two church groups come here the second week
of December to put the metal building up.
We celebrated the church’ fourth year
anniversary that same week and on December
17th we had our first service in
the new building. We had around 500 in
attendance with 22 saved in the adult
service alone.
Bro. David Taza is the Pastor and is
doing a great job. He has a great vision for
his church, his life, and for his Country.
We praise the Lord for His blessings on
this work and for using so many of you to
see these blessings come to pass. Thank you!
New Hope Baptist Church
is growing and the Lord is continuing to
bless this work in Lurin. This is a church
we started just off the Pan American
Highway, south of Lima. Pastor Jorge and his
family are doing a great job there. They
recently had a “big day” with over 100 in
attendance. This church averages around 50
to 60 people each week. They have a great
children’s ministry each Sunday afternoon
before the evening services.
If you would like to help this ministry they
have a great need for some pews.
PACHACUTEC-
We rejoice
in sharing with you that we purchased four
connecting lots on the main road in the
mountainous area of Pachacutec. This is a
very poor area where there are an estimated
700,000 shanty homes. The people are very
humble and receptive. We’ve been working in
this area for more than three years now
having open air meetings with visiting
church groups, and others from our work here
in Peru. We’ve seen hundreds saved in these
mountains, but no church close enough to
send them to. We have a desire to plant (or
help plant) at least six churches in this
area of Peru. We’ve tried starting Churches
in the people’s homes, but because of the
homes being so small we’ve always had more
people that room. In January we began
working on this land by putting the security
walls up and leveling the land so we could
build our first church in this area. In
February we
built the building and are almost ready
for our first services there. We want to
thank those that have given specifically for
this work!
